Area Director

DSN-MO is currently accepting applications for a full-time Area Director (AD) in the Kansas City Area Program.  We are looking for an experienced top level administrator with the drive and experience to take the lead of an existing successful program that provides a service system that is responsive to the support needs of people who experience developmental disabilities and/or mental health needs.   Under the direction of the Chief Development Officer, the AD will ensure all needs are met for the individuals receiving supports.   Job duties include, but are not limited to: training new employees, daily direction, coordination and evaluation of the locations that you oversee, ensuring accountability and quality, developing and maintaining behavior building programs / behavior support plans, ultimately responsible for the oversight of the entire program which includes, Direct Support Professionals and Front Line Supervisor(s).  Other duties may include managing daily operation of home(s), staff supervision, training, hiring, scheduling as well as serving as an advocate for participants receiving services, providing direct care, monthly reports and monitoring supports received by participants served.

Selected candidates must share a passion for helping others to live their lives to the fullest.  This position demands strong organizational stills, creativity, abstract conceptualization, confidence, significant experience as both a team member and a team leader, excellent public relations skills and the importance of assessment and proactive strategies in service delivery, and a personal commitment not only to the people supported but the employees and company.

Candidates that are qualified for this position will possess strong supervisory and motivational skills, experience in program development and needs assessment, outstanding leadership ability and a creative approach to difficult situations. You must have outstanding communication and a supportive personality, a strong work ethic, the ability to interpret and understand financial statements, experience creating and working within budgetary constraints, and extensive knowledge pertaining to people supported in a human services setting.  Experience in developing behavior building programs and quality assurance is essential. You must have a Bachelor's degree in Education, Rehabilitation, or related Social or Behavioral Science field, as well as sufficient field experience to meet QMRP/QDDP guidelines. Any candidate must also have a minimum of 5 years of experience with person with developmental disabilities and sufficient experience in individualized program development.  QMRP/QDDP, LMHP/PLMHP credentials are highly desired.  Job requirements include a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, the ability to transport individuals in services safely and registry on the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry.  Candidates must have the ability to work in a Human Service setting with favorable background screens.

This position is primarily Monday through Friday, however may require some evenings and weekends. Salary offered will be commensurate to education and experience but will be in the range of $38,000 - $50,000.

Front Line Supervisor

DSN-Missouri is currently accepting applications for a full-time Front Line Supervisor (FLS) in the Kansas City Area program.
